Year-round imagination indulgencies with YARN presents…

Well, you might think we’ve been a wee bit quiet since we wrapped up YARNfest in February but YARN HQ has continued to be a veritable hive of activity and we’re very excited today to finally be able to tell you what we’ve been up to.

We couldn’t stand the idea of having a whole year go by without some more regular imagination indulgencies, so this year we are launching the YARN Presents…. series. We’ll be having regular outings, supported by our chums at Concrete, where you’ll be able to submerge yourself in some story antics be that in film, theatre, music, literature or illustration. Our first outing will be in July, so watch this space!

BUT…what we’re even more excited about is our new partnership with The Special Relationship team. Not only did we manage to get them down from their abode in Camden for their awesome night during YARNfest 2011 (with the fabulous Matthew Robins, Joe Dunthorne and Simon Munnery no less) but we’ve managed to keep them here!

The Special Relationship will be teaming up with YARN to bring you a monthly night on the first Wednesday every month. If you didn’t catch them during YARNfest 2011, The Special Relationship squad are comedian and playwright Tom Basden and the American short story writers Jarred McGinnis and Sam Taradash and together we’ll be bringing you a night of literary entertainment where award-winning writers, poets, comedians and filmmakers have a story to tell.

For our inaugural east-side Wednesday on 4th May, we will be joined by special guests including author David Miller. (http://bit.ly/fpm8Je)

Exciting stuff! You can pre-purchase your tickets here.

We’re still cooking up plans to escape the M25 again this summer, and you may catch a glimpse of us at Henham Park…more on that later!

See you on the 4th!
