Phwarph – it’s been just a week since we wrapped up YARNfest 2011 with our celebration night of ‘Ten Stories About Smoking’ at The Queen of Hoxton with Stuart Evers and the Picador team and at YARN HQ our feet are just about touching the ground again! We’ve had an almighty time during this years festival… we introduced illustration into the pillars and had of a whale of a time working in partnership with Cure Studio & Soupa Creative Network presenting the Zine Workshop & Illustrationarium, Hanif Kureishi joined us for our Faber & Faber supported Cover Wars, The Special Relationship popped down the road from Camden to bring us an almighty lineup with Simon Munnery, Joe Dunthorne and Matthew Robins taking to the stage at Concrete, The Scat Pack took us to the world of the Boggie Bogners, and laughs were most definitely had during rounds including Jack-a-Story at our pub quiz run by Acorn Independent Press at The Book Club – crickey, it’s a packed few days!
