YARN presents… The Special Relationship – November 1st!

Tuesday 1st November 7.30pm – 10.30pm (bar open from 7pm)

There’s a bite in the air and the gloves are well and truly on – there’s not a more perfect time of year to snuggle up with a glass of red or a hot toddy and be entertained by some superb word-smiths.

Special Relationship super-heroes Tom Basden, Jarred McGinnis and Sam Taradash reclaim the stage at Concrete for our November show joined by special guests Gabriel Gbadamosi and Gavin Inglis.

Gabriel Gbadamosi is an Irish-Nigerian poet and playwright, and a Londoner. His work has won the Richard Imison Award and thus year’s Tibor Jones Pageturner Prize at the London Book Fair. His work explores the intersection of European and African performance, most recently as an AHRC Creative and Performing Arts Fellow at Goldsmiths, University of London, and as a Wingate Scholar in Africa.

Gavin Inglis (http://www.gavininglis.com/) is a writer who blends everyday realism with a strong strain of the fantastic and bizarre. He does relationship stuff, comedy, horror, crime, and the odd tale that just won’t fit in a box. Gavin’s most popular story to date is a Glasgow hard man story where the hard man is a fish. It’s based on a real fish.
