Join us for an Evening of Cinematic Soliloquies as part of LSFF9

YARN Festival celebrates the start of a 2012 full of story and storytelling with an evening of film, theatre, music, illustration and literature at the London Short Film Festival.
YARN will screen films originally commissioned for the Letters Festival in Milan [http://www.festivaldellelettere.it/], interweaving them with new works inspired by the films across a range of mediums, including music and spoken word. The evening will feature work by filmmakers including Ruth Paxton, Helena Astbury, Kate Jessop, Michael Rittansberger, Alexander Taylor and Serena Corvaglia.

The YARN evening continues in partnership with Streetwise Opera. Streetwise Opera [http://www.streetwiseopera.org/] is an award-winning charity that uses music as a tool to help 500 homeless people per year move forward in their lives. Be guided by a narrator through their most recent work Fables – A Film Opera, a collection of short, 7-minute Film Operas, each created by the Streetwise Opera performers working with some of the most exciting composers and filmmakers in the UK.
